Fortress Hong Kong--does it sux?

I was in Fortress Central buying well over 2K worth of product as a gift.  Just before I made the purchase, asked since this was a gift, if my friend did not like it, could it be returned for something else and a friend will pay the difference in price.  The answer was flat NO.  The sales lady rudely brought out a Terms & Condition sheet that had 100 million footnote which obviously didnt make sense for such a simple request.  WTH is Fortress doing?  Dont they realize its the world of consumerism?  Anyway, too bad for their business, I didnt buy from them.
